A Round of 16 game of Euro 2024. Germany vs Denmark. The game kicks off on June 29 at 20:00 (BST) at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund. Germany – Denmark: Prediction and betting odds, statistics for the Euro 2024 match.

Potential line-ups for Germany vs Denmark

Germany (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer – Maximilian Mittelstädt, Nico Schlotterbeck, Waldemar Anton, Joshua Kimmich – Robert Andrich, Toni Kroos – Jamal Musiala, İlkay Gündoğan, Florian Wirtz – Kai Havertz.

Germany

Germany were the first to secure their knockout stage spot. They consequently beat Scotland (5:1) and Hungary (2:0). Germany finished on top of their group after a 1:1 draw in the game versus Switzerland (1:1). Germany are the most scoring side of the group with 8 goals. They have scored at least a goal in the last 7 official matches.

Jonathan Tah will miss this match due to disqualification.

  • Both teams have scored in 6 of the last 7 official games Germany have played. Both teams to score – 1/1
  • At least 1goal have been scored in the first half in 7 out of the last 8 European Championship games Germany have played. First half: Over 0.5 – 2/5
  • Germany have won the second half in 5 out of their last 6 European Championship games. Second half: Germany to win – 9/10

Denmark

Denmark are the only team to qualify for the knockout phase without winning a game in the group stage. They had two 1:1 draws against Slovenia and England and a goalless draw versus Serbia. Denmark and Slovenia finished the group stage tied in all main criteria. Denmark were places higher only on better disciplinary points. Denmark haven’t lost in regular time their last 7 European Championship games (3 wins, 4 draws).

Morten Hjulmand will miss this match due to disqualification.

  • The final scored has contained number 1 after 90 minutes in 8 out of the last 10 European Championship games Denmark have played. Correct score 1:1 – 6/1
  • Denmark haven’t lost 10 out of their last 11 official games (6 wins, 4 draws). Denmark to win or Draw – 13/10
  • Denmark have ended their last 4 European Championship games in a draw in regular time. Draw – 2/1
  • Denmark have scored the first goal in 6 out of their last 8 European Championship games. Denmark to score the first goal – 9/4

Germany – Denmark Prediction

Germany had the same starting XI in all their group stage games, even in the third round which meant nothing to the host side. This became a problem. One of the center defenders is disqualified, while another one is injured. Germany will have to try new players in this match, even though the defensive line is not perfect in general. Their opponents have scored in 12 out of the last 13 official games Germany have played.

Denmark look worse than they were in the previous European Championship. But they still can be a problem for their opponents. Denmark scored in 7 consecutive European Championship games prior to the match against Serbia. They have scored in 11 out of the last 13 official games. Denmark are supposed to score in this game, too.

However, the Danish side is unlikely to keep the clean sheet. Only Serbia haven’t managed to score in the game against Denmark in this tournament. Denmark were one of the two worst teams in defensive line in the qualification tournament among those who qualified directly. Germany have a good attacking line.

Our prediction is Both teams to score at 1/1 .

Betting tips 29 Jun 2024

The host side looks very confident. Yes, they failed to beat Switzerland in the last round but it wasn’t an important match. Germany are ready to reach the late stages of the tournament. And of course they want to lift the trophy in front of their fans. But what’s more important is that this German side doesn’t seem to fail any moment. As it was in the last 8 years or so. I’m pretty sure that the host side will easily reach the quarter-finals.

Denmark finished 2nd. Ahead of Slovenia only on disciplinary points. It’s quite hard to describe the impression from the Danish performance. They played in the most boring group of the tournament. They didn’t manage to beat neither Slovenia nor Serbia. I think that their weird path in this Euro ends here.

Probably betting on a German handicap would be a good option here. However, it’s a knockout round match, which makes it less predictable. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that Germany will win in regular time. One way or another.
